zaMali dom - Zagreb is a local public institution, founded by the City of Zagreb, which provides services for children and youth with multiple disabilities, vision impairments and additional difficulties. Mali dom includes educational and psychosocial rehabilitation services in compliance with the official programs authorized by a relevant ministry:

  • Day care center - Daily education -rehabilitation program activities are conducted in groups, including educational and rehabilitation activities, daily living activities, household activities, occupational, social and cultural activities as well as specific rehabilitation services such as Functional vision stimulation, Communication stimulation, Orientation and Mobility etc
  • Early intervention program - for children 0 – 3 years of age, home based professional support services to families (Visiting Services) as well as some Centre based activities - educational and psychosocial rehabilitation
  • Transdisciplinary assessment - performed by a team of experts, holistic and individualized; educational-rehabilitation assessment, functional vision assessment, physiotherapy, speech and language assessment etc

Mali dom - Zagreb provides regular daily services to more than 120 visually impaired children and young adults with additional disabilities and deaf blind. Each year, additional 300 children from all parts of Croatia are included in our transdisciplinary assessment and counselling programs. Mali dom have conducted various projects for different international funding organizations and partners like IRC – (USAID), UNICEF, CBM, Perkins International program and provided trainings and seminars for professionals in schools and institutions in Bulgaria, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Romania.
